61st Annual Mitchell Peewee Tournament Finalists!, News, PeeWee AE, PeeWee, 2016-2017 (Durham Crusaders Hockey)

The Crusaders Peewee AE team continued their tournament successes over the weekend of November 11-14, brining home second place in the very competitive Mitchell Peewee Tournament. 

The boys showed extreme grit and character in the round robin play by winning three, close and very hard fought games; 2-0 against South Huron, 3-2 over Mitchell and 4-3 versus BCH.  This set-up a rematch in the semi finals against the host team, the game was a hard fought, back and forth game.  With three seconds remaining, the Crusaders managed to score to seal the win!  This set up a final against a very strong Lambeth team, who also were undefeated through round robin play, only allowing two goals against to this point.  The boys fought hard and did not give up the entire game, but the emotional games leading to the final had taken a lot out of them and they just could not keep pace.  The Coaching staff and Parents are very proud of this group and the effort they put forth every time they step on the ice to represent our organization!  (photos are from the local Mitchell newspaper)
