Atom CC gives back!!

Our Atom CC Team joined The Super Sophia Project and received a LOVE BOX to fill with items which will be brought to kids being treated in hospitals over the holiday season.

The LOVE BOX program was started by an 8 year old girl, Sophia, who was diagnosed with Leukemia a month before her second birthday. Throughout her cancer journey she has inspirited children and their families to never give up. Project LOVE BOX is her way of giving back and helping children cope when they are in the hospital. Love Boxes are filled by community members with toys, crafts, clothes, gift cards and are gifted to children in hospitals all across the GTA, Durham and Up North.

Our Atom CC parents along with their players have lovingly contributed to a LOVE BOX this season which will go to a boy 8-10 years old. On behalf of our team and families we would also like to thank the Durham Crusaders Organization for their contribution of a McAtom Toque, Truckers cap and hockey pucks which fit in perfectly with our Love Box!

While our boys have been working hard on the ice, it was important to stop and reflect on those that are struggling through the holiday season. As parents we are blessed to have happy healthy kids, and so to have this opportunity as a hockey family, to make a difference for another parent and their child this holiday season is truly humbling.
