What do the Durham Crusaders offer?

The Durham Crusaders provides both Local League and Representative Level Hockey.   Members participating in the Representative program must be Whitby residents.  There are no residential boundaries associated with the Local League program.

Teams in the Representation CC & AE program compete during the regular season in the Victoria Durham League (VD).  The centers that currently participate in the VDL  are Mariposa, Brock, Woodville, Kawartha, Manvers, Millbrook, Sturgeon Lake, Orono and Newcastle.  Teams play an average of 24 regular season games between the beginning of October and the end of the first week of January.

Teams in the Local League program compete in the Three County League.  Centers that currently participate in the league are Brock, Woodville, Mariposa, Sturgeon Lake, Lindsay, Kawartha, Manvers and Millbrook.  Depending on the age group teams play an average of 24 regular regular season games between the beginning of October and the end of February.  Playoffs run throughout the month of March.

Each team will be provided with a game and practice schedule after the completion of the October game scheduling sessions.  The schedule will cover all games and practices for the first half of the season.   The schedule for the period January to March will be provided after the completion of the second scheduling sessions. 

Practices for CC, AE and LL (Peewee and up) will be full ice practices.  Atom LL and below will be shared ice practices. 

Most teams participate in at least 4 Tournaments in a season.
