IBEW 353 East (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers)

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 353 is a forward thinking, highly skilled, and dedicated electrical union. IBEW Local 353 represents approximately 11,000 members who work in a variety of electrical disciplines and who work across central Ontario, spanning from Toronto to Peterborough to Parry Sound. Established in 1903, IBEW Local 353 has since been successfully representing licensed electricians and registered apprentices in the construction industry. Today, the IBEW remains a hard working organization of top-notch electricians and like-minded professionals committed to benefiting towards the integrity of our industry. Mike Mohktar, Chartered Accountant

Mike is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Management Accountant with 30 years of experience in both accounting and Business. Mike is in holding masters in Financial Accountability from York University. Mike was raised in his family business (3rd generation) which made him close to the decision making process and introduced him to the business environment at a very early age. That complimented with his Bachelor of Commerce major Accounting. Mike is experienced as an accountant and controller with large companies starting from Liquid Carbonic, Shoppers Drug Mart, Roots Canada, The Salvation Army and T.B.G. Being part of the management team of these very strong and successful companies made Mike an experienced business man with very solid and valuable advice that he offers expertly.×
