The Crusaders battled through what was an extremely competitive round robin which saw all five teams finish with identical records in a five way tie for first place!
The finalists could not be determined until the final game Sunday afternoon. After the calculators were put away, the Crusaders prepared to face off against the host team, the Stirling Blues, in the final. Our boys got out to an early lead, but the home team was determined to make a game of it and battled back, and with their net empty, tied it up with only seconds remaining. This set up a three on three overtime period for the Championship. The Crusaders three on three experience paid off as we controlled the play, eventually scoring the winner for the dramatic finish!
The Coaching Staff and Parents are all very proud of the effort the boys put forward and look forward to carrying the experience gained this weekend into the regular season!
